10 % LOSS PER YEAR OF VALID POSTAL ADDRESSES IN SWITZERLAND IN THE CASE OF CARE WITH THE POST OFFICE

Pflege mit der Post

Postal recipient addresses have lost importance in customer communication in the past, but are playing an increasing role because online retailing absolutely requires them. Those who maintain their stocks in Switzerland with Swiss Post services (MatchMove or web services) lose about 10% of valid addresses per year due to relocation. The above example from the retail sector clearly shows this. The percentage has fallen, but since 2017 it has risen again to up to 15%.

The reason for this is that Post CH AG no longer receives notifications of relocation from the customer or the customer forbids the information to be passed on. We have already taken measures with many of our customers before the undeliverability, using communication to try to persuade the customer to keep his data up to date himself. Many of you know how difficult that is. Therefore, for cost reasons, the focus must also be on the good or valuable customers. Losing them is particularly painful for companies.

Anyone who operates a CRM wants to treat the customer in his life cycle with the company/brand and communicate accordingly. Since many companies do not recognise relocation duplicates properly, these customers may even be treated as new customers and even worse, they will then have two profiles in the customer database. Credit rating service providers then also provide you with incorrect data.

For one thing, we can easily identify these removal duplicates for you so that you can bring them together. A simple comparison creates clarity here.

On the other hand, we have come up with a solution to subsequently reference such customer inventories. We are currently still looking for test candidates. Anyone who would be interested in a test is welcome to contact us.
